Responsibilities
Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use
Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
Keep logs on work and issues
Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
Skills
Experience with repair and maintenance of Domestic vehicles.
Proven experience as an auto mechanic
Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus

About the Company
John’s Auto Care Center has become well known for its service and care of Luxury and Domestic vehicles. The shop is geared up to do service on most all brands of cars, from Audi, Triumph, to MG and offers a Limited Warranty on its Services and Repairs up to 36 Month / 36,000 Mile (European Vehicles : 24 Month / 24,000 Mile). A staff of well trained tech’s that work on salary and can take the time to really understand a customer’s concerns and take care of their needs.
We always welcome new fleet accounts and take care of most of the USFS vehicles and other government cars in the region. Whether you drive the newest Chevy Silverado and need a service or if you drive an older British car and need restoration advice and some repairs to your Austin Healy 100/6, the qualified people here will help you with all of your needs.
