Winter can be tough on automobiles. So how can Mercedes benz owners make sure their vehicles are in tip top shape for the coming winter?   Mercedes Benz Service can have your great automobile humming like a kitten and roaring like a lion in no time. Tires and alignment are the first check on the maintenance list. Better alignment is going to improve efficiency and save money in repairs down the road. Fluids should be checked and this includes oil, power steering, transmission fluid, and the window washing fluid. Doing this check doesn't necessarily mean that there will be a need to change anything, but if the transmission fluid is getting slightly darker in color and the power steering appears thicker, it is better to have them flush then to spend a lot more getting it fixed if something goes wrong down the road.

The electrical system in the Mercedes should be inspected. That includes things like the battery and spark plugs, all the connections. Belts, and hoses in the car are also important, especially the timing belt. If they look worn or even slightly damaged, their probably living on borrowed time. It's important to replace them. The brake system should be checked for possible wear and tear. If the brake pads are worn the results can be a serious. The brakes play a major roll in safety of the car that cannot be ignored and should be looked at by a trained professional. Checking the A/C is also a sensible thing to do especially right before the summer months.

Some of this may sound like a no brainier but you would be surprised at how many people neglect the care and maintenance of their vehicles. Johns Auto Care is a full service auto mechanic and we specialize in high end cars like Mercedes and BMW. If you don't have the time or mechanical know how then bring it down and we will take care of it for you.

So you’re on your way to a friends house. It’s been more than the 3 months between oil changes, but your car or truck still gets you to where you're going so you forget about it. Funny enough when you rely on your vehicle the most, all of the sudden it starts to smoke from under the hood and you're forced to pull off the road and call for help.
